“I’ve had this brain for thirty years. It hasn’t done me any good! – Wilbur (Lou Costello)
Bud and Lou join forces with Universal’s menagerie of famous monsters in a perfect blending of comedy and terror – the boys were never funnier! A top notch supporting cast plays it absolutely straight, with Bela Lugosi as Dracula, Lon Chaney, Jr. making his moonlight change into the Wolf Man and Glenn Strange stalking the boys as Frankenstein’s Monster. Even Vincent Price gets a cameo as The Invisible Man. Great fun for ALL AGES!
At the screening, Abbott and Costello & Halloween-ish raffle baskets are up for grabs! Matinee features Lou Costello daughters on-stage and autographing Abbott and Costello photos (in the lobby) and Bela Lugosi Jr. joining us in the evening. On display in the lobby, Frankenstein “headpiece” replica of the one worn by Glenn Strange and a life-mask of Lon Chaney Jr. from a mold used for the film! All movie and raffle tickets purchased support the Alex Film Society – a non-profit arts organization.
